Indigenous Art Installation

Sundre High School and Sundre Learning Centre were given a beautiful piece of Indigenous artwork on January 25. Receiving the presentation were principals Scott Saunders, Corina MacDonald, and Indigenous Lead, Terri Thompson. Elder John Sinclair was able to present it along with two members of The Mountain View Moccasin House Society. They have been fortunate enough to receive grant money from the Government of Canada to put art installations in schools to commemorate residential school survivors. This is a mixed media art piece called "Gathering Hope" by Stephanie One Spot from the Sarcee (TsuuTina) First Nation.
